I hope you all are off to a great beginning of the academic year as we find ourselves back into our daily classroom routines. You may be asking yourself: what is a membership spotlight? Well, these spotlights are a way HI-ACDA can showcase the incredible talent across the state for the whole world to see.

Over the coming months, HI-ACDA will be doing monthly spotlights to highlight choral educators from across Hawai’i. These spotlights will show our community a glimpse into how ACDA has been a support for their careers and what projects these members are working on throughout the year. The spotlights will also allow the community at large to celebrate in our member’s successes through ACDA.

If you are interested in being spotlighted, or nominating someone, a form will be located at the bottom of each monthly spotlight. We will be highlighting active, student or lifetime members of ACDA, so now is a great time to ensure that your ACDA membership is current! If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to renew your membership and encourage others to join.

HI-ACDA wants to celebrate our members while also highlighting how our organization continuously supports our members. I personally hope these spotlights can inspire our choral community to celebrate our victories and understand the importance of being a member of HI-ACDA. I look forward to sharing our members’ stories.
