The Church of the Crossroads is progressive in its theology and inclusive in its welcome to people of all ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations. Our commitment to the care of creation and justice is embedded in our covenants. We seek an enthusiastic and skilled choir director to provide musical guidance to our choir and congregation. Our musical canon sits comfortably between traditional hymnology and contemporary music for worship, including multicultural, Hawaiian, and historically significant repertoire.

Responsibilities include selecting hymns and anthems for weekly services in collaboration with the pastor and worship committee; leading weekly choir rehearsals to prepare anthems; recruiting new choir members; managing the music program’s annual budget; and maintaining the music library. The Music Director should be able to work effectively with choir members of varying ages and abilities, have a good knowledge of musical styles of different origins, and be creative and passionate about music.
